It all began from boredom and passion
Gnome and Garden began as a one-man artisan studio out of Nashville, TN, making handcrafted cement statues from start to finish. During the pandemic, when our co-founder Ryan began working remote, he had a lot of time on his hands to experiment with his passions of 3D modelling, engineering, and hand-made processes. We do every part of the process ourselves: designing the molds, mixing and pouring the cement, and hand-painting every piece.
“As a lifelong maker and engineer, I blend old-world craftsmanship with modern tools like 3D printing, 3D scanning, CAD design, and rubber mold making. I use techniques inspired by the YouTube maker community and my friend Arthur, who grew up casting large bronze statues using methods that have been around for centuries.” - Ryan Bailey, Co-Founder
Innovation without forgetting artisanry
