• Get notified. Enter your email and we’ll let you know when hippos are in stock, so you can pay when one is ready.

In a perfect world, we’d make enough to sell before the holidays, but we’re a small artisan shop and we’d like to keep it that way. We’ll try to deliver as many of the first orders as we can in time to go under a Christmas tree. Our guarantee is World Hippo Day, February 15, 2027, in the 50th anniversary year of Hippos Go Berserk!, first published by Sandra Boynton in 1977.

About the guarantee: pre-orders are covered by the FTC’s Mail Order Rule, so February 15, 2027 is a firm promise. Every pre-ordered hippo will be delivered by then. If an unexpected delay means we can’t make that date, we’ll email every pre-order customer before it passes with a new date, and you can choose to wait or cancel for a full refund.
